The 5 Love Languages of Children & A Perfect Pet for Peyton {Giveaway}

Last month, we received two books to review, The 5 Love Languages of Children and the accompanying children’s book, A Perfect Pet for Peyton. We're very excited to be able to offer you a chance to win both of these helpful books.

The 5 Love Languages of ChildrenThe 5 Love Languages of Children is written by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell. The purpose of this book is to help parents discover the best ways to show love to their children in ways their children will feel and appreciate.

This book will help you:
  • discover your child’s love language
  • understand the link between successful learning and the love languages
  • see how the love languages can help you discipline more effectively
  • build a foundation of unconditional love for you child
I have heard great things about this book and I can’t wait to start reading it. I love how the book is broken up into manageable chapters that also include How to Discover Your Child’s Primary Love Language, Anger and Love, Speaking the Love Languages in Single-parent Families, and Speaking the Love Languages in Marriage. Overall, The 5 Love Languages of Children gives practical suggestions for learning how your children interpret love and creating a sense of security in which they can thrive.

A Perfect Pet for Peyton

A Perfect Pet for Peyton is a children’s hardcover book by bestselling authors Gary Chapman and Rick Osborne. This book helps children learn the importance of love and the different ways people show love to each other. It tells the story of five children and their adventure discovering their own love languages. The end of the book also has a love language quiz to help older children discover their own love languages.

Both of our older kids (4 and 3) really enjoyed this book. It made it easy to see the differences between the 5 love languages and the ways they play out in the lives of children.

I wasn’t thrilled with the illustrations, but the kids liked them. Most of the pages also have hidden items for children to find, which adds a fun element to the book.

I've been thinking of getting this book to see if I would be able to better relate with my children when I can understand them a little better.

Though I don't have children of my own, my career and passion are completely centered around children! I'm open to any good read that will help my understand kids even more.

I love the Love Languages book -- it has really helped my marriage. I'm very curious about using the same resource when thinking about my children and how they were created differently.

I think I might have entered already (a week or two ago----I have a fuzzy memory ever since all the children arrived!).....

Anyways....we are HUGE fans of Gary Chapman and his work, and have been talking lately how we have GOT to read his "5 Love Languages for Childen" SOON, & our precious wee ones would really like---and benefit from-- the "Peyton" book, too, from your description.

And, hey, it would really help THEIR PARENTS, too! We need all the help we can get. :-)
