SNAPPI Baby Cloth Diaper Fastener {Review & Giveaway}

Introduction: Snappi Fasteners were invented by a father who experienced frustration changing his own child's diapers. The first Snappi was introduced to the South African market in 1987 at a trade fair where 4000 units were sold within days.

The Snappi is designed to replace diaper pins when cloth diapering with flat, prefold & contour diapers. It comes in a variety of colors and is made from a stretchable non-toxic material, which is T-shaped with grips on each end. These grips hook into the diaper fabric to ensure a snug-fitting diaper with enough natural movement for the baby.

Selection: Snappi fasteners come in two sizes, baby and toddler. The baby Snappi works for the newborn stage to approximately 16 months. After that the larger toddler Snappi is usually the big choice to ensure a great fit for older babies and active toddlers.

Review: We have used Snappi fasteners for both Jonathan and Eliya for quite a while now. We love how easy and safe they are. No more pinpricked babies for us! Or pinpricked parents either!

The Snappi fasteners are so easy to use. You simply hook the left grips onto the left wing of the diaper, stretch across the diaper and attach the right grips, then you stretch the bottom down and hook it to the center of the diaper. You can easily get a customized fit in no time.

The Snappis also make diaper changes much faster especially when your babies start to squirm more. They really do make diaper changes a snap. Honesty, I'm not sure why we didn't get a Snappi when Emahry was a baby, it makes prefold SO much easier. Oh well, you live and learn.

Buy It: You can purchase your own Snappi fasteners at a number of online cloth diapers/natural living retailers. Baby sized Snappis retail for $3.95 and Toddler's are about $4.55. Snappi fasteners each last for 6 months so this is a very smal investment for your cloth diaper stash.
