Etsy Shop Showcase ~ Dydee Daze

With the early birth of our son came a new adventure in cloth diapering. All of Emahry's AIO (all-in-one) diapers were way to large, being designed to fit a baby who weighs between 10 and 20 pounds. So for the past 8 weeks we've been using prefold diapers at home and disposables while out & about. We really dislike having to use disposables (our personal preference), but without wetness protection, cloth diapering on the go wasn't an option for us.

Then I discovered a new Etsy shop, Dydee Daze. The shop is owned by Desiree, a stay-at-home mom to two children ages 4 and 1. Desiree has made all of her 1 year olds diapers and is now passing her love of sewing on to you. Dydee Daze currently carries AIO diapers, fitted cloth diapers, diaper covers, baby wipes/washclothes, and flannel hair scrunchies.

Tim & I decided to try a fitted cloth diaper with a cover for Jonathan. Dydee Daze's small fitted diapers are only $8 (mediums=$9 & larges=$10). The moisture proof covers are $7 each.

Our diaper arrived promptly and we began using it right away. I love how easy fitted diapers are to use. They go on just like a disposable diaper, but are reusable and therefore a lot more eco-friendly.

All of Dydee Daze's fitted diapers have flannel on the outside and inside (against baby's skin.) There is a 4-layer terry soaker sewn inside for extra absorbancy. The sides and back have elastic for a snug yet comfortable fit. Thet also have a velcro (touch tape) closure, with fold-back tabs to prevent diapers from snagging other garment in the laundry. They come in a variety of adorable prints. Fitted diapers like these make for such stylish babies!

The diaper covers are made from PUL (waterproof material) and have a touch tape (soft velcro) closure. The sides and back are gathered for a snug, comfortable fit.

All of the diapers and covers are easy to care for since they are machine washable.

We are greatly enjoying Jonathan's new diaper and cover and are very pleased with the construction of both items. I've taken Jonathan to the grocery store in his Dydee Daze diaper and cover and while the diaper was very wet when we got home there wasn't any problem with the cover leaking.

Here are a few of my favorite things from Dydee Daze (http://www.dydeedaze.etsy.com/).
