Gift Wrapping For Pennies Or Less

Here are a few ways we are wrapping Christmas gifts this year without spending a penny.

1. Reuse gift bags and tissue paper.

2. Wrap gifts with newsprint and unused newspaper. Use your old newspapers or call your local paper and see if they give away their unused ends of paper. I used to get these when I was teaching. The printing machines can't pull all the paper from the roll, so the ends of the roll get thrown away unless someone wants them. The paper is about as wide as wrapping paper and can be decorated with markers, stickers, stamps, or just trimmed with a pretty ribbon or bow.

3. Re-purpose clementine crates. This was actually Tim's idea and it's a great one. We're giving a lot of meal baskets with jar mixes as gifts this year. All the jars will look so pretty nestled in these cute little crates amongst festive tissue paper.
