Review: Nicki was kind enough to send us a Best Bottom Green Giraffe Snap Shell with 2 stay dry inserts and 1 overnight insert to review. We chose to review the snap shell, but this system also offers a hook and loop option.

After years of experience with cloth diapering Nicki created a new diaper taking the pros of all the different diapering systems and eliminated the cons. The Best Bottom Diaper System has simplified cloth diapering while making one of the most economical systems. 

I love how simple this diapering system is, especially for someone just starting out! 

The snap down rise and sized inserts make this a great diaper for all sizes of babies. Even though the sized inserts make it cost more than having a one size insert the sized inserts allow the diaper to be much more trim, especially on little babies.

The wipeable shell allows you to replace wet inserts and use the same shell over and over. This is a great way to reduce the cost of filling your fluff stash and also reduces the amount of laundry you have to do.

Because the shell has four rise settings this system is designed to fit from birth to 35+ pounds. I love the extra rise setting for smaller babies, but I'm not sure a very large toddler would still fit in the waist snaps. This is the only small drawback I found in this system. When I tried this diaper on Jonathan he was in the second to the last waist setting and is not quite 28 pounds. When I contacted Nicki she said they do offer extender tabs for larger toddlers, which I think is a great solution. Also the tabs don't seem to have as much give as other covers, although I do love the addition of a small section of elastic at the waist. 

I also love the addition of leg gussets. These are so great at maintaining even the messiest messes. I can't wait to see the difference in cloth diapering a newborn with systems that include these type of leg gussets. 

Along with the shell and stay-dry insert we were able to test out the overnight insert. Oh, how I love that option. The overnight insert simply snaps into the diaper, then you snap the stay dry insert on top of it. This means that your baby has a super soft fleece against their skin backed by 4 layers of microfiber then backed by another 6 layers of microfiber. I don't think there's a baby who could soak through all of those thirsty layers.

Overall, we really like this diaper system and would love to add more shells and inserts to our diaper stash. (Maybe you would to? Keep Reading!)
