Fun Dollar Tree Find

This past Saturday, on a quick trip to Dollar Tree, we stumbled upon this adorable wooden dress up ballerina for $1 of course.

The set comes with the wooden doll, three dresses, four head accessories, and a lacing string. There were also lots of little sequins and double sided sticky dots that you could use to attach the sequins to the doll and clothes, but I decided that the tiny sequins might not be the best idea for our little ones at this age.

Emahry loves her new doll! Even Jonathan wants to play with it (I wish they made a boy version!).

There are so many different outfit combinations you can make by layering the different pieces. Lacing the clothes on is also wonderful fine motor skill practice.

The package also shows two other wooden dolls, so we stopped back into Dollar Tree yesterday to see if they are in stock as well. We were happy to find the other two dolls and we also picked up a few extras to have on hand in our gift box.

Have you found any fun and inexpensive toys recently?

lol. boys can play with ballerina dolls too! My daughter got a car track for her birthday from her aunt Cori. She loved it so much, that it was completely in shambles in about 6 hours.

I was elated when I read your post. I've been looking for an affordable lacing toy for weeks now. And this is MORE than affordable, it's downright cheap lol. So I dutifully drove to my nearest Dollar Tree (luckily I already had to be in the area, it's 40 minutes away from me), only to be told by the manager that he knew exactly what I was talking about and they sold the last of them a few days prior. HUGE letdown! On to search for another great lacing toy... let us know if you find another bargain!
