I'm trying to hold myself accountable to finish some of the projects on my to do list by posting each Friday about a project I've completed. For the most part these projects aren't part of my daily or weekly household chores, although some weeks finishing those items is a challenge all in its own.
I saw this clock on Pinterest a couple of months ago and knew that I'd have to make one for my brother for Christmas.
My brother is notoriously late. The kind of late where you tell him to be somewhere an hour before something is scheduled to begin. He's developed such a reputation for being late that one of his good friends says my brother has his own time zone named in honor of his last name (it's smudged out in the photos below).
This past week I finished up his clock. I decided to paint a 11"x14" canvas and insert the clock mechanism through the middle of the canvas. The back is lined with corrugated cardboard for some extra stability.
I'm so excited to have another Christmas gift completed!

Are you giving any handmade Christmas gifts this year? If so, have you finished them?

Awesome! Did you paint the letters and numbers also?
ReplyDelete@Susie Han, Yes, I used a paint marker to make the letters and numbers very easily :)
