Really? Homemade cream cheese? How did it taste? Since I think cream cheese makes almost anything taste better, this is a handy recipe to have.

It was a little different than store bought cream cheese. I found that the flavor was more sour than say Philadelphia Cream Cheese, however I also used Low Fat Yogurt so I'm not sure if that was the reason.

I think in a recipe where it takes on other flavors the homemade would work fine (although you'd want to stick with whole yogurt).

I do like knowing that I can make organic cream cheese since I'm not able to buy it locally (way out of our budget), but the organic plain yogurt is much more reasonably priced.
