"Not Just a Flat Diaper" Review & Giveaway (2 winners, $54 value each)

Introduction:  Niki is the seamstress behind the NCantrell "Not JUST a Flat Fold Cloth Diaper." Niki also works with leather and enjoys sewing lots of other goodies for her Etsy shop.

Review:  Niki sent our family 4 of her diapers to review. These "flat" diapers are sewn from unbleached muslin which is a flatter weave than the standard birdseye cotton that most flats are made from.

However, Niki's diapers have one huge advantage over regular flats. Niki has taken all of the guesswork and trouble out of folding the flat diaper while still maintaining the benefits of thorough cleaning and quick drying.

When this "flat" is unfolded it is already sewn into the triangle shape with the middle square ready to be folded to complete the origami fold. This definitely cuts down on the time it takes to get your diapers ready. Also once the center is folded this diaper performs like a typical flat, being absorbent in the middle where it's needed yet being very trim at the sides.

We've been using these "flats" for a couple of weeks now. To help the rise fit Eliya better I simply fold down the top edge of the triangle before I place her on top. I've been using a snappi to secure the diaper before rolling the leg edges in and covering the diaper with a waterproof diaper cover.

In preparation for the Flats and Handwashing Challenge I've also hand washed and air dried these flats on several occasions. The way Niki has sewn the diapers makes them very easy to get clean and allows them to dry quickly like a standard flat diaper.

Overall, we are really enjoying these "Not JUST a Flat Diapers" from Niki and NCantrell.
